The Universal Audio Volt 176 is a compact 1-in/2-out USB-C audio interface that brings UA's analogue heritage to home recording, built around a genuine onboard compressor and a vintage preamp mode. It is aimed at singer-songwriters, podcasters and producers who want character at the input stage.
A single combo XLR/jack input feeds a mic/line/instrument preamp with switchable 48V phantom, a 'Vintage' mode that emulates classic UA tube-preamp warmth, and a built-in 76-style FET compressor inspired by the legendary 1176 for gentle dynamics control while you track. Conversion runs at 24-bit/192 kHz, and the unit is USB-C bus powered.
It ships with a generous software bundle including a DAW and UA plug-ins.
